Do you have a Learning Disability? Are you looking for a Day Centre that is open 7 days a week?
We understand that people are looking for flexible day services with flexible opening times. Well, at The Grove we have listened to what you need.
Our Opening Times
The Grove is the only local day service for people with Learning Disabilities that is open Monday through to Sunday.
Our normal opening times are 8.30am to 4.30pm, however these times can be extended if required.
The Grove is open throughout the year, excluding some Bank Holidays and statutory holidays (although support can be offered during these times if required).
We are always willing to discuss your individual support requirements and may be able to provide support outside of these times.
Support
At the Grove we provide support to individuals from 17 years of age. We are able to offer the support you need, whether this is as part of a group or on a 1-1 basis, we can help.
2-1 support is also available if required and can be arranged for you.
We offer support on an ‘as and when’ basis, for example school students may only require sessions during half terms and holiday periods.
We work with schools and other organizations to provide a transitional service for school leavers to make the change from the school environment into adult services as easy as possible.

would like to visit The Grove what do I do
If you would like to arrange a visit to look around you can call us at Primary Care to arrange a time on 01255 224680 and ask for Kelly alternatively you can email us at: info@thegrovecentre.co.uk
We offer a free taster session to provide you with a gradual introduction to The Grove to see if you like what we offer.
Our fundamental aim is to provide you with a service that is able to meet and support your needs exactly. Prior to your free taster session we complete an initial assessment to make sure we understand what you need and what you want. We then support you through your taster session gaining more information which we then use to create your own individual support plan. Your support plan is continually updated by you, your family and your key worker to ensure you receive a service that always meets your needs.
Once you have received your taster session an opportunity is provided for you and our Senior Facilitator to talk through how you feel it went, if you then choose that The Grove is right for you, arrangements are made for you to join us from an agreed date. However, If you decide that The Grove is unable to meet your needs, we offer an open door policy and would always welcome you back at any time. If you have any questions or your circumstances change in the future we are always happy to meet and talk with you again.
Support outside of The Grove
We are also able to provide community support without you needing to attend The Grove. This can be provided at your request during the day, evenings, weekends, bank and statuary holidays. We are also able to provide sleep in support and night support and one off support for days out, trips or any social occasion. For further information please contact Primary Care on 01255 224680.
We very much look forward to meeting you.
At the Grove we meet all of the requirements outlined in the Draft National Minimum standards for Day Services/Opportunities January 2007 written by the Care Services Improvement Partnership and Integrated Care Network.
