Here you will find the people who are responsible for arranging and overseeing the delivery of Primary Care’s, support and care services.Each member of the team plays a key role, ensuring the people who use our services and our staff receive the best possible support.
Michelle Duggan – Director – Following a successful career spanning 15 years working with in Older Peoples Residential services, Homecare services and CommunityLearning Disabilities services for both the private sector and Local Authority. Michelle established Primary Care together with business partner and Co-Director, Natalie Emmerson. Michelle holds an NVQ level 4 in the Management of care services.
Janice Windred – General Manager - Janice joined Primary Care in 2004. Janice is responsible for human resources, payroll and general office management. Janice holds an NVQ level 4 Registered Manager Award (RMA) and Level 4 from the institute of Leadership and management. Her previous management experience was gained at DFDS Seaways where she was a Group Manager.
Marianne Telfer – Service Manager- Marianne joined the team in 2007 and is responsible for the overseeing and running of the Primary Care services and contract compliance. Prior to this, Marianne was an Operations Manager in the private sector, overseeing the running of several residential establishments, and has over 16 years’ experience working in the care and support sector. Marianne holds an NVQ 4 Registered Manager Award (RMA), Level 5 in Leadership and management (ILM) and also a HNC in Community Care.
Operations Team
The Primary Care operations team deal with the logistics of Primary Care services, making sure that all of our team members are in the right place at the right time, ensuring everyone receives the highest quality, consistent and reliable service.
Kelly Gant - Operations Coordinator – Kelly joined the team in 2004 prior to this she had 8 years’ experience in the care sector. Kelly is likely to be the first person new clients meet as she carries out the initial assessments visits. As well as working within our operations team, Kelly plays a key role at Primary Care’s specialist learning disability day centre, ‘The Grove’. Kelly is also one of Primary Care’s Safe Handling Trainers. Kelly holds an NVQ 2 in Care and is currently working towards an NVQ 3 in Management.
Maria Sadler – Operations Staff Liaison – Maria joined the team in 2005. Maria manages the recruitment for Primary Care, mentors new members for the first 3 months of their employment and oversees team members rota planning. Maria is currently working towards an NVQ 3 in Business Administration.
Lilian Hicks – Operations Coordinator– Lilian joined the team in 2006 originally as part of the administration team. In 2008 Lilian gained a promotion and became part of the Operations Team. Her main job role is to deal with rota queries, covering shifts, entering data and approving team members annual leave requests. Lilian holds an NVQ 2 in Business Administration and also a European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
Ron Cordell – Operations Coordinator- Ron is the newest member of the operations team joining the team in 2011. Ron has a wealth of experience in the care world, working for both private and charitable care organisations and local authorities/social services. Ron holds an NVQ level 4 in Care Management and has been responsible for the management of a large day centre, several residential homes and in recent years has been an Operational Manager for a couple of organisations overseeing Domiciliary Care services, Residential services and Supported Living services.
Coordinator Team
Our Coordinator team have a varied job role which includes the support, supervision and observation of our team members, and overseeing the service delivery. Each coordinator is directly allocated to a number of team members and service users who are their personal link able to deal with all matters swiftly and effectively.
Shelley Miles - Shelley joined the Primary Care team in 2005. Working for 18 months as a support worker until she was promoted to her current role as Coordinator. Shelley holds an NVQ Level 3 in Care and is working to obtain her NVQ 3 in Management.
Lucy Button – Lucy originally joined the team in 2002 as a support worker, being promoted in 2004 to senior support worker, and further promotion in 2008 saw Lucy become as part of the Coordinator team. Lucy holds an NVQ 2 & 3 in Childcare.
Danny Wright- Danny joined the team in 2011. Danny has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience during the 15 years working in the care sector for Essex County Council Adult Social Care, Scope, Independent Living Advocacy (ILA) Essex, Liberation Partnership and Essex Coalition of Disabled People (ECDP). Danny holds an Advocacy qualification accredited by Essex University and the City and Guilds Advanced Management in Care.
Claire Bird – Claire has worked in the Social Care sector for over 10 years, starting her career specialising in Elderly Care before moving into the Learning Disabilities sector. Claire holds an NVQ level 4 in Care Management.
Elaine Balls – Elaine joined the Primary Care team in 2011. Elaine has over fifteen years’ experience in the care and support sector, and holds an NVQ 2 in Care and also a City and Guilds Foundation in Care Management. Elaine has worked within the NHS and voluntary organisations, as well as working as a Registered Manager for a Charity providing Domiciliary Care Services.
Training Coordinator
It is vital that we invest in on
-going training for the team. Therefore, Primary Care has a dedicated training coordinator to meet the team’s training needs ensuring the company has excellent and robust training, and in turn an effective skilled team in place.
Mandy Graham - Mandy joined the team in 2011. She qualified as a General Nurse in 1980, since then Mandy has worked for the NHS predominantly in Intensive Care units and also in local nursing homes caring for clients with mental health issues, learning disabilities and the elderly. Mandy has been involved in training and development since 1994 and holds both teaching & assessing qualifications. Mandy has also previously taught in the voluntary sector, NHS and nursing homes. Mandy along with her nursing qualification holds a Certificate in Health & Social Care and a Diploma in Complimentary Medicine.
Administration Support
Behind every successful company there is a great administration team helping everyone to be able to do a great job. This is our dedicated admin team.
Nicola Bone – Reception/Operations Administrator- Nicola joined Primary Care in June 2008. Nicola previously worked as an administrator within the Insurance sector. Nicola assists the Operations, Human Resources and Training departments with administration tasks. Nicola also supports all new team members to complete and gain their Primary Care CRB. Nicola holds an NVQ 3 in Business Administration.
Chantelle Cannell - Reception Administrator - Chantelle joined in 2009 under a government apprentice scheme and is now employed by Primary Care full time. Chantelle’s friendly voice is likely to be the first voice you hear, or the first face you see when you contact Primary Care. As well as answering calls and dealing with staff and service user queries, Chantelle carries out administration duties for the entire team. Chantelle holds an NVQ 2 and 3 in Business Administration.
